Yoga

Yoga is the union of the mind, body and spirit and a typical Hatha class consists of Asanas (postures), Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation), Pranayama (Breathing practices) some opening and closing chants and meditation.

Students are invited during classes, to enjoy the journey of depth and discovery of the Self. As mobility and flexibility transitions over time, new sensations and experiences allow for an increased depth of awareness during practice. Students are encouraged to observe and be aware of limitations and using a combination of breath and mindfulness to deepen their awareness.

There are a huge number of benefits from a regular yoga practice. These include: -Improved breath control, better blood, lymph and chi circulation,  enhanced fitness, strength and muscle tone, improved posture, improved digestion, better relaxation and sleep, and it can also help raise self-confidence and the way we feel about ourselves and others.
